Procedural Details of a Breast Augmentation

Bandages

A post-operative surgical bra with a breast band must be worn day and night for four to six weeks to ensure proper healing and provide adequate support and placement of the implants.
Showering and Washing
You can usually shower two days after surgery, but should avoid direct water pressure on the breasts and incision sites. Use mild soap and gentle movements to wash, and carefully pat your skin dry to avoid irritating the incisions.
Sleep
Avoid sleeping on your stomach until you are fully healed. You can sleep on your side or your back with the support of the post-operative bra.
